Model LMH2120 is a linear root-mean-square (RMS) power detector and member of the PowerWise family of power detectors from National Semiconductor. With a frequency range of 50 MHz to 6 GHz and power detection range of -35 to +5 dBm, the device is ideal for third-generation (3G) and fourth-generation (4G) mobile handsets. It operates from a single voltage supply of +2.7 to +5.0 VDC and provides an output voltage proportional to the RF input power in dBm. The LMH2120 also includes a shutdown pin for reducing power consumption in between measurements to extend handset battery life. Current consumption is typically 2.9 mA in normal operation and only 3 A in low-power shutdown mode. The LMH2120 is supplied in an 0.82 x 1.22 mm, 6-bump microSMD package.
