Two new models have been added to the line of Anaren Integrated Radio (AIR) modules, specifically for the European market. The two newest modules are ETSI-compliant units, models A1101R08A (with embedded antenna) and A1101R08C (with connectorized antenna), designed for use at 868 MHz and available in tiny footprints of only 9 x 12 x 2.5 mm and 9 x 16 x 2.5 mm on two-layer printed-circuit boards (PCBs). The modules are 100-percent RF tested and are available with test boards for evaluation.

According to Mark Bowyer, Business Development Manager for the AIR product line with Anaren's Wireless Group, "Just like customers in the North American market who are benefiting from AIR modules' pre-certification to FCC standards, customers entering or operating low-power RF in Europe now have an ETSI-compliant option. If used as specified, they can deploy these new modules on board European-targeted end products without any additional EN 300 328, EN 300 440, or EN 300 489 testing required. AIR modules arrive ETSI compliant right on the reel." The modules are ideal for low-power wireless capability to such applications as industrial control, building automation, and sensor networks.
