Qorvo Debuts Space-Saving GaN MMICs

May 19, 2015
Qorvo has launched a new line of high-power, gallium-nitride (GaN) monolithic-microwave-integrated-circuit (MMIC) power amplifiers.

Qorvo has launched a new line of high-power, gallium-nitride (GaN) monolithic-microwave-integrated-circuit (MMIC) power amplifiers. The new offerings—on display at Booth No. 331 at the IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS)—come in plastic packages designed to improve the size, weight, and power performance in commercial and military S-band radar applications.

The TGA2818-SM, TGA2817-SM, TGA2814-SM and TGA2813-SM amplifiers each provide impressive output power and power-added efficiency (PAE) in a low-cost, space-saving surface-mount plastic QFN package. They are available at power levels of 30, 60, 80, and 100 W and operate up to 3.6 GHz.
