Band-Reject Filters Can Be Tuned Over 7.5-Percent Range

A new family of bandstop and cavity filters allows designers to adjust center-frequency values. These filters are tunable over a 7.5-percent center-frequency range with minimal change in bandwidth. Center frequencies range from 1000 to 6000 MHz with 3-dB bandwidths of 0.5 to 12 percent of the center frequency. With a 2-W power rating, the 50-Ω filters offer a VSWR of 1.5:1. The filters have two to nine sections with respective 3-dB/40-dB bandwidth ratios ranging from 30 to 2.3. The MIL-E-5400 class 1A filters operate from -55 to +85C. They come equipped with SMA female connectors.
