The expansion of cloud-enabled functionality and the IoT have radically changed the way powered devices are operated, monitored, and managed. This requires not only advanced logic and signal-processing systems, but also next-generation electronic components and the subsystems they enable.

Recently, Menlo Micro held an event to explore how to leverage the company’s Ideal Switch technology, called the virtual Switch Summit. Held on June 16 & 17, Menlo Micro’s premium hosted event brought together various aspects of the electronic ecosystem to showcase how MEMS switching technologies are on the forefront of innovation for today's electrification needs and tomorrow’s development future.

To get a better grasp of what the event meant to the company and how its technology is being leveraged in the marketplace, we spoke to Jonathan Leitner, Senior Product Marketing Engineer at Menlo Microsystems, about the expanding role of MEMS switching technologies in advanced electronic products.
