Distributed Antennas Drive HetNet Growth

July 24, 2013
HetNet systems rely on proper installation of distributed antenna systems.

Distributed antenna systems (DAS) enable the wireless communications efficiency possible with heterogeneous networks (HetNets). But the term “HetNet” is quickly becoming synonymous with the technologies of wireless small cells—so much so that the DAS Forum recently changed its name to The HetNet Forum.  As the PCIA notes: “HetNet Forum members are using every tool in their toolbox to deliver wireless broadband to consumers everywhere—indoors and outdoors, urban and rural.” The organization offers an informative, free report on HetNet titled “The Role of The Systems Integrator in a HetNet Deployment.”
