Control Devices Reach 40 GHz

Sept. 21, 2015
These control devices replace beam-lead diodes in many applications from 50 MHz to 40 GHz.

Models MPS4101-012S and MPS4102-013S are control devices that serve as excellent replacements for beam-lead PIN diodes in broadband microwave switches across the full frequency span of 50 MHz to 40 GHz. These single-chip, silicon-monolithic, series-shunt circuit elements exhibit less than 1.5 dB insertion loss and more than 25 dB isolation at 36 GHz. They offer fast switching time of 5 ns and can handle continuous-wave (CW) power at levels f 3 W or more. The monolithic control elements are RoHS compliant and are well suited for high-reliability applications.
