Chip Resistors Lower TCRs

Dec. 19, 2014
A line of surface-mount resistors offers resistance values from 10 Ω to 3 MΩ with power ratings to 2 W.

The PTN series of precision surface-mount thin-film chip resistors is now available with a lower absolute temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of a mere ±10 ppm/°C and tighter tolerances to ±0.05%. The thin-film resistors are available in 13 case sizes from 0402 to 2512; in resistance values from 10 Ω to 3 MΩ; and with power ratings to 2 W for use at operating temperatures from -55 to +155°C. The lead-free, RoHS-compliant resistors, which are based on self-passivated, moisture-resistant tantalum nitride resistive film technology, are suitable for applications in military, aerospace, telecommunications, and industrial systems. The tantalum-nitride resistive film ensures a moisture resistance level that exceeds MIL-PRF-55342 limits.
