SP4T Switch Reaches 40 GHz

Aug. 15, 2013
A high-speed SP4T absorptive switch operates under TTL control from 50 MHz to 40 GHz.

Model P4T-50M40G-55-T-292FF is a TTL-controlled single-pole, four-throw (SP4T) absorptive switch with an operating frequency range of 50 MHz to 40 GHz. It achieves 55-dB minimum isolation across that frequency range with 8-dB maximum insertion loss. The maximum input/output VSWR is 2.50:1. The switch, which measures 2.0 x 1.0 x 0.4 in. with 2.92-mm female connectors, boasts typical switching speed of 85 ns for a transition from a 50% TTL level to a 10% or 90% RF level. It is designed for +20-dBm CW input power with 5-W peak survival power. The switch requires a power supply of +12 to +15 VDC at 150 mA and -12 to -15 VDC at 100 mA. It has an operating temperature range of -40 to +85°C.
