A new voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) suits applications like digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satcom systems, and base stations. The CVCO55CC-2480-2960 covers 2480 to 2960 MHz with a control voltage range of 0.5 to 18 V. The VCO provides phase noise of -106 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset. The oscillator draws 35 mA from a +8-VDC supply. Typical output power is +7 dBm. Pulling and pushing are minimized to 1.5 MHz and 0.5 MHz/V, respectively. The VCO usually offers second harmonic suppression of -15 dBc. The CVCO55CC-2480-2960 is packaged in the industry-standard 0.5-x-0.5-in. SMD package. P&A: starting at $18.46 each in volume quantities.
