The Kit Close-up is a new video series of short takes on evaluation boards, development kits, and other tools and devices of interest to the electronic design engineering community. In a typical 5~10-minute episode, one of the Endeavor Design Group’s editors will present a kid/board/device given to them by a participating company.
The Kit Close-up provides a forum for companies that want to present their products to a wider community, as even passive components can be presented in a design and evaluation environment. Almost anything can be shown in the context of its evaluation board, development kit, or other related device or tool. Any of these videos can also be linked to larger content marketing efforts in sponsored form.
For example, an episode about an evaluation board would begin with the opening credits of the show, followed by a title card and a face-to-camera introduction with the editor involved. Once the subject of the show is introduced, the camera turns to a hands-on view of the unboxing of the board, first impressions, and a description of the board and the device it is intended to test. Upon completion of the hands-on portion, the camera is again turned for the editor’s closing remarks.
Participation is easy, just contact your editorial contact at Electronic Design, Microwaves & RF, or Evaluation Engineering, and offer to provide something for the show. All products, unless provided with return postage and paperwork, will be donated to local engineering schools in the respective editor’s home area, with credit given to the participating companies. There is no charge for participation other than the cost of the kit (if unreturned) and shipping costs.
