Striving to meet the measurement needs of next-generation networks, Anritsu Company has introduced HSPA functionally for its MD8470A Signaling Tester, for verification of HSDPA and HSUPA applications at full HSPA data rates. The MD8470A, when equipped with the necessary options, supports all HSDPA and HSUPA UE categories specified in 3GPP TS25.306 allowing testing at HSDPA data rates to 14.4 Mb/s and HSUPA data rates to 5.76 Mb/s. Using an integral data throughput monitoring function, the MD8470A can monitor data throughput performance in real time and verify performance at fixed dates or at rates decided by UE category and CQI value. The MD8470A complies with global standards regulating 2.5G, 3G and 3.5G mobile communication systems.
