LeCroy Corporation has introduced the fourth generation of its protocol analyzer for PCI Express. The PETracer Gen2 Summit x16 captures and analyzes second-generation PCI Express bus traffic at date rates to 5 Gb/s per lane, doubling the acquisition bandwidth of the company's previous PCI Express protocol analyzers. The integral software allows for real-time statistical analysis, protocol traffic summaries, detailed error reports, and user-defined test reports.
