12G-SDI Chipset Enables 4K Monitoring

PHABRIX will incorporate MACOM’s 12G-SDI chipset in its 4K monitoring instruments.

PHABRIX chose MACOM’s 12G-SDI chipset for its new 4K/UHD-1 instruments with eye/jitter analysis. Supporting the 12G-SDI interface, the new Rx series instruments usher in 60-frame/s 4K video monitoring on a single cable. The material improvement over multiple 3G SDI streams enables the lower cost, lower power, higher density solution. The 12G-SDI family includes cable drivers, adaptive cable equalizers, reclockers, and crosspoint switches. The PHABRIX SxE, with its eye and jitter toolset, supports broadcast engineers requiring portable physical-layer analysis.  A new audio/visual generator and Dolby E, Dolby D, and Dolby D Plus analysis and generation optimize the device as a video- and audio-broadcast fault finder.
