Simulation Software Provides Multiple Views

June 4, 2014
This system-level simulation software can model designs at layout and EM levels for predicting performance through millimeter-wave frequencies.

When building a system, having simulation software such as the Advanced Design Software (ADS) from Agilent Technologies (soon to be renamed Keysight Technologies) can be invaluable. In fact, Agilent will be offering a number of different MicroApps at the 2014 IMS (Booth No. 1133) based on the use of the ADS for commercial and military system simulations. ADS allows verification of design layouts and can perform automatic electromagnetic (EM) simulations on RF/microwave designs. In addition to the design software, the booth will offer numerous hardware test solutions, for characterizing power amplifiers, for performing microwave and millimeter-wave vector network analysis (VNA), and for making noise-figure measurements on low-noise amplifiers (LNAs).
