The Asian leg of the AWR Design Forum (ADF) computer-aided-engineering-(CAE)-software-based technical conference, sponsored by AWR Corp., concluded with hundreds of attendees and record numbers of registrations. The tour, which started on July 6 in Japan, moved to Korea on July 10, then wrapped up in Taiwan on July 12. Presentations were made by academic professionals, in addition to AWR customers and partners. The open event was an opportunity for designers to share ideas on the development and optimization of RF/microwave circuits, printed-circuit boards (PCBs), and monolithic-microwave integrated circuits (MMICs).

Copies of the presentations, which ranged from papers on GaN amplifiers and MMIC oscillators to the design of a complete radar system, are available at www.awrdesignforum.com. The European leg of the design tour, ADF Europe, is scheduled from Sept. 19 through Nov. 8 at various locations. More information is available at www.awrdesignforum.com/call-for-papers-europe.html.
