Renaissance Electronics Corporation has designed a two-way high-power combiner for applications in the 800-to-900-MHz cellular band. The combiner allows a common antenna port to be usd for two different cellular networks that operate on different power levels. The combiner incorporates a novel Wilkinson resistor arrangement coupled with high-efficiency, fan-cooled heat sink that enables input power imbalance of as much as 200 W between ports. The combiner can sustain power levels to 1000 W composite per channel and measures just 5 x 5 x 4 inches, making it among the most compact combiner of its type.
