OCXOs Silence Noise From 10 To 160 MHz

June 5, 2014
A line of OCXOs provides excellent spectral purity from 10 to 160 MHz.

Low-noise oscillators and signal-source assemblies are trademarks of Wenzel Associates, which recently released its new website. The firm will also have samples of its low-noise oscillator at the 2014 IMS (Booth No. 308), including its ONYX series oven-controlled crystal oscillators (OCXOs) for applications from 10 to 160 MHz. These compact sources, with internal voltage regulation and through-hole printed-circuit-board (PCB) mounting, exhibit phase-noise levels as low as -176 dBc/Hz (far from the carrier). They are supplied in nickel-plated steel packages measuring just 1.0 × 1.0 × 0.5 in. and are well suited for use in airborne, ground, and shipboard applications in systems and test equipment.
