MediaTek expanded their Wi-Fi 7 portfolio, introducing the Filogic 860 and Filogic 360 solutions, offering optimal connectivity, peak performance, and always-on reliability. The Filogic 860 combines a Wi-Fi 7 dual-band access point with an advanced network processor solution to empower enterprise access points along with service provider Ethernet gateways and mesh nodes, in addition to retail and IoT router applications. The Filogic 360 is a stand-alone client solution integrating Wi-Fi 7 2x2 and dual Bluetooth 5.4 radios in a single chip to deliver Wi-Fi 7 connectivity to Edge and streaming devices, as well as an array of other consumer electronics products.
Targeting the enterprise and retail markets, the Filogic 860 offers a complete platform for a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 access point, router, and mesh-node solution, leveraging a triple-core Arm Cortex-A73 CPU supporting hardware acceleration along with advanced tunneling and security features to address enterprise and service provider requirements. MediaTek Wi-Fi and Bluetooth coexistence technology ensures both can operate on the 2.4 GHz band seamlessly without interference.
Features of the Filogic 860 platform includes a 6-nm low-power Wi-Fi design, Single-MAC MLO as well as 4096-QAM and MRU support, offering dual-band Wi-Fi 7 at a dual-band MLO speed of 7.2Gbps and dual-band, dual concurrent capabilities with 4T4R for 2.4GHz up to BW40 and 5T5R 4SS for 5GHz up to BW160. There is also support for an additional receive antenna for zero-wait DFS.
The Filogic 360 is a single chip Wi-Fi 7 2x2 and dual Bluetooth 5.4 solution enabling connectivity for high-performance applications in smartphones, PCs, laptops, set-top boxes, OTT streaming, and many other devices. Features of the Filogic 360 include triple-band selectable Wi-Fi 7 2x2 with up to 2.9Gbps speed, support for 4096-QAM and MRU and 160 MHz channel bandwidth, along with Filogic Xtra range support to boost communication distance. There is also support for dual Bluetooth 5.4 cores for gaming and other applications, and BLE audio with integrated DSP for LC3 codec support.
