Model CVCO33BE-1662-1708 is a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) from Crystek Corp. for applications from 1662 to 1708 MHz. It supplies +2 dBm typical output power and +4 dBm maximum output power with ±2 dB output-power flatness over that frequency range; in addition, it exhibits phase noise of typically -106 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from the carrier and -126 dBc/Hz offset 100 kHz from the carrier. Second-harmonic content is typically -15 dBc.

The VCO is characterized by pushing of 5 MHz/V and pulling of 5 MHz peak to peak into all phases. It tunes by means of applied voltages from 0.5 to 4.5 VDC with 15-MHz/V tuning sensitivity and draws typically only 20 mA current from a +5 VDC power supply. The oscillator, which is designed for operating temperatures from -40 to +85°C, is supplied in a surface-mount housing measuring 0.30 x 0.30 x 0.079 in. (7.62 x 7.62 x 2.01 mm). It is available in tape-and-reel format for high-volume production.
