Information Handling Services (IHS, Englewood, CO) and the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA, Arlington, VA) have announced an expanded multi-year agreement to provide improved access to industry standards and related publications. Under the agreement, IHS will become the exclusive distributor of AIA standards and related publications, and will upgrade and manage the AIA's "National Aerospace Standards Store" for easier access to these vital documents. The two organizations have partnered since 1982 to serve manufacturers of commercial, military and business aircraft, helicopters, aircraft engines, missiles, spacecraft, materiel, and related components and equipment. According to Matthew B. Williams, director, Standardization, AIA, "IHS is a valued contributor to the AIA and to the aerospace industry with its specs and standards solutions, and is a leader in addressing key industry initiatives like parts management. The convergence of AIA content with the extensive sales and distribution capabilities of IHS is a powerful combination as we tackle the top issues of importance for our industry and member organizations." AIA, like over 450 content partners, entrusts IHS to fulfill its electronic, custom collection and hardcopy distribution. IHS Specs and Standards Service collections include more than one million technical documents.
