Mercury Systems has received an $8 million order for its BuiltSECURE high-density secure memory devices from a leading defense prime contractor. The high-speed memory devices, which are manufactured in a DMEA-trusted facility in Phoenix, Ariz., will be integrated into active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar systems for an advanced airborne military platform.
The memory devices feature high-density packaging to save system real estate, using three-dimensional packaging technology to transform a two-dimensional array of discrete memory devices into a single, vertically stacked, dense ball grid array (BGA) package. The memory devices are designed and constructed to handle extremely harsh operating conditions.
“Mercury Systems is pleased to support our customer and our warfighters with the industry’s highest performance, dense, rugged memory devices,” said Charlie Leader, senior vice president and general manager of Mercury’s Advanced Microelectronics Solutions group. “Mercury Systems is committed to supplying our customers with affordable, best-in-class solutions for their most critical applications.”
