To satisfy automated test and measurement environments and research and development laboratories, Hittite Microwave Corp. has announced the HMC-T2100 frequency generator. It delivers CW output power to +27 dBm in 0.1-dB steps over a 40-dB dynamic range. The signal generator boasts harmonic rejection that is better than -39 dBc at 1 GHz while spurious products are better than -65 dBc at 10 GHz. In addition, it offers phase noise of -113 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset from 1 GHz with insignificant deviation over the temperature range of 0 to +35C.

With a frequency range of 10 MHz to 20 GHz, the signal generator covers all major communication bands with frequency resolution of 10 kHz and switching speed of 300 s. The HMC-T2100 is compact and lightweight, making it well suited for integration within various test environments. It is available for just $7998.
