Stability is a defining parameter for oscillators of any kind—especially oven-controlled crystal oscillators (OCXOs). Through the use of proprietary compensation and stabilization methods, a series of radiation-hardened OCXOs can maintain a frequency stability of 1 ppb over an operating-temperature range of –55° to +85°C. Customers can specify the following: sine wave, HCMOS, TTL, or PECL output; a frequency range of 1 to 120 MHz; and operating voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, and 15 V. Custom frequencies and operating voltages also are available. The OCXOs promise to withstand swept sine vibration of 20 Gs (10 to 500 Hz) and mechanical shock of 500 Gs (half-sine pulse at 0.1 ms, three axis). In addition, the OCXOs have been tested and screened per the MILPRF-55310 and MIL-STD-883 Class B standards. The oscillators come in 14-pin dual-in-line (DIL) packages measuring 1 X 1, 1.5 X 1.5, and 2 X 2 in. P&A: $300 (100 qty.); stock to 24 wks.
