Although amplifiers were many at the Washington AOC this week, numerous oscillator and synthesizer suppliers also plied their wares on the exhibit floor, including Isotemp Research with its model OCXO 131-1007 oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) with outstanding stability and low phase noise in a compact housing. The OCXO provides rectangular HCMOS-level outputs at 10 MHz with +/-1 x 10-9 ambient stability from 0 to +70 degrees C and aging rate of +/-3 x 10-10/day at the time of shipment and after 30 days. The OCXO features phase noise of -120 dBc/Hz offset 10 Hz from the carrier, -140 dBc/Hz offset 100 Hz from the carrier, and -150 dBc/Hz offset 1 kHz and beyond. The oscillator operates at +12 VDC, draws 350 mA at turn on, and consumes 1.8 W power at room temperature. It measures 1.43 x 1.07 x 0.50 in.
