WEST CALDWELL, NJMerrimac Industries ( has received a research and development (R&D) award from the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) for Next Generation Airborne Electronic Attack (NGAEA) Enabling Capability (EC) Project using Merrimac's patented Multi-Mix(R) Technology. The NGAEA EC project is intended to develop subsystem and component technologies to required levels of technology and manufacturing readiness to support transition to a Next Generation Jammer program (NGJ) capable of integration on an airborne tactical platform with advanced levels of performance, miniaturization, environmental ruggedness, reliability and affordability. According to Merrimac's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mason Carter, "This opportunity shows that Merrimac is eager to develop advanced technologies with United States Government Agencies that help the defense community forward the state- of-the-art in military electronics. Our military customers and defense agencies are confirming our longstanding belief that Multi- Mix(R) is a catalyst for bringing new levels of integration to this industry."

BROOKLYN, NYMini-Circuits has received a number of industry awards during the past year, including several citations from Rockwell Collins, in addition to awards from Agilent Technologies, Nortel, and the University of Florida. Most recently, the major Chinese telecommunications equipment supplier, Huawei Technologies, named Mini-Circuits "The Excellent Supplier." Awards from Rockwell Collins included "Crystal Products Commodity Supplier of the Year" for 2007, "MCM/Hybrid Commodity Co-Supplier of the Year" for 2007, and "A Top Performing Supplier for 2007" while Nortel named Mini-Circuits "Strategic Supplier of the Year" for 2007. The firm's founder and President, Harvey Kaylie, noted "Mini-Circuits' quality policy is to provide products and services to our internal and external customers that will meet stated requirements, exceed expectations, and continuously be improved."
