ARACON is a tubular braided electromagnetic-interference (EMI) shield from Micro-Coax with a fraction of the weight of conventional metal braided shields. Ideal for high-vibration, high-stress applications, it combines the conductivity of an outer metal coating and the strength, light weight, and flexibility of KEVLAR. ARACON braids are offered with silver plating and nickel plating depending upon the application. Blends are also available with nickel-plated copper wire for more shielding at lower frequencies. Standard sizes range from inside diameters of 0.62 to 2.00 in.
