Model 3017360 is an extremely broadband 90-deg. quadrature hybrid coupler from Krytar with a frequency range of 1.7 to 36.0 GHz. It suffers less than 3.2-dB insertion loss across the frequency range with better than 12-dB isolation between ports. Coupling loss is 3 dB while the maximum VSWR is 1.85:1. The hybrid coupler controls amplitude imbalance to 1.7 dB and phase imbalance to 12 deg. It can handle 20 W average power and 3 kW peak power, in spite of being supplied in a miniature package measuring only 2.6 x 0.625 x 0.50 in. with female 2.92-mm connectors. The four-port hybrid, which can be manufactured to military specifications, is ideal for use in monopulse comparators, power combining/dividing, mixers, modulators and phased array antenna systems.
