Several lines of MIL-PRF-39010 RF inductors, the ER10M and ER17S Series, recently received failure-rate Level P. These thru-hole inductors meet stringent military requirements for the Qualified Product List (QPL) for Established Reliability (ER) standards. Such approval requires extensive life testing of electrical, environmental, mechanical, and thermal performance. The inductors now meet the relevant MILPRF-39010 specifications to failure rate Level P. The firm is continuing to perform life testing on the inductors at its in-house environmental testing lab with a goal of attaining the more demanding failure rate: Level R. ER10M series inductors are wire-wound, molded designs in inductance values from 0.10 to 1000 H and minimum quality factor (Q) values from 25 to 55. The self-resonance frequencies for these inductors range from 3.4 to 680 MHz. ER17S series inductors are wire-wound molded, shielded components with inductor values from 0.10 to 1000 H and minimum Q's from 40 to 60. The self-resonance frequencies range from 3.8 to 250 MHz. The ER10M and ER17S series inductors are designed for applications in military, aerospace, and defense circuits and systems.
