Kratos Defense & Security SolutionsHas been awarded contracts to provide integrated microwave assemblies for a US Navy platform. The awards, totaling $1.8 million, were made to Kratos' subsidiary, Herley IndustriesNew England.

MurataHas collaborated with Metrum Technologies on the latter's advanced-meter-infrastructure (AMI) and home-area-network (HAN) smart-meter products. The companies began working together on this initiative in November 2010, with the Metrum offerings hitting the market last month.

Delta MicrowaveHas been selected by NASA, Goddard Space Flight Center to design and fabricate the front-end-electronics (FEE) assemblies for the Magnetospheric Multiscale (MMS) Project. The FEEs are part of a GPS Navigation System that will be used to determine the orientation of the earth's magnetic reconnection layer.

Space Systems/Loral (SS/L)Has been contracted to provide a multi-mission spacecraft for Telenor Satellite Broadcasting (TSBc). The satellite, THOR 7, will include Telenor's first Ka-band payload, which will be used for maritime broadband services. It also includes a Ku-band payload for expanded broadcast capacity in Central and Eastern Europe.

APIC Corp.Has been awarded an optical clock development contract by the Department of Defense and the US Air Force. The R&D will primarily take place at APIC's Los Angeles headquarters with additional work conducted at its Honolulu facility. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology will act as the sub-contractor.
