This most recent distinction follows Supplier of the Year awards from Airbus in 2006 and 2008. L-COM, INC.Has been named a finalist for the American Business Awards (ABA) for Sales and Customer Service, also known as the Stevie Awards. L-com was nominated for four awards and is a finalist in three categories: Contact Center of the Year, Sales Department of the Year for Computer Hardware, and Customer Service Department of the Year for All Other Industries.
SPECTRUM ADVANCED SPECIALTY PRODUCTS
Has announced that its PA25-1621-025SA and PA45-1621-1575SA patch antennas have achieved Iridium Satellite Communications' Iridium Compatible Equipment (ICE) certifi cation requirements. Additional antennas and assemblies are still in the approval process with certification expected later this year.
MOBILE SATELLITE USERS ASSOCIATION (MSUA)
Has announced this year's winners with Innovation Awards going to Iridium for its Short Burst Data product and to KVH Industries for its mini-VSAT Broadband product. The 2011 MSUA Pioneer Award was presented to Ahmad Ghais. The awards were presented on March 15 during the MSUA-8 conference in Washington, DC.
EDMI AND SIERRA WIRELESS
Have been awarded the GSMA Global Mobile Award for Best Mobile Innovation for Utilities at the 2011 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The award, judged by an independent panel of industry experts, recognized EDMI's EWM100 modem for smart metering applications. The modem uses Sierra Wireless AirPrime embedded modules to provide robust cellular communications.
