Compact Amps Reach 18 GHz

Sept. 15, 2010
A series of broadband amplifiers from MITEQ provide output-power levels from +30 to +34 dBm at frequency bands of 6 to 8 GHz, 12 to 18 GHz, and 8 to 18 GHz. For example, model AMF-8B-08001800-40-33P delivers more than 2 W (+33 dBm) output power from 8 to ...

A series of broadband amplifiers from MITEQ provide output-power levels from +30 to +34 dBm at frequency bands of 6 to 8 GHz, 12 to 18 GHz, and 8 to 18 GHz. For example, model AMF-8B-08001800-40-33P delivers more than 2 W (+33 dBm) output power from 8 to 18 GHz with more than 40 dB gain and 2.5 dB gain flatness. The amplifier has a typical output third-order intercept point of +38 dBm. Its noise figure is less than 4 dB. The VSWR is less than 2.0:1. Model AMF-8B-08001800-40-33P draws about 3 A current from a single voltage supply of +12 to +15 VDC. The amplifier, which measures 3.0 x 1.9 x 0.9 in., is supplied with SMA female input and output RF connectors. Heatsinks and control functions are available as options.
