Optimized for use with the company's 4540 and 4500B peak power meters, the 59318 peak power sensor from Boonton Electronics, a Wireless Telecom Group Company, is ideal for measuring the power levels of modulated and pulsed signals from 50 MHz to 18 GHz. It handles input power levels from -34 to +20 dBm in CW measurement mode and -24 to +20 dBm in peak measurement mode. It operates in low-bandwidth mode (50 MHz to 18 GHz) and high bandwidth mode (500 MHz to 18 GHz) using a Type N male connector. The sensor supports a 50-MHz instantaneous measurement bandwidth with better than 10 ns rise time for accurate pulsed power measurements. According to Wolfgang Damm, Product Management Director of the Wireless Telecom Group, "Boonton customers expect high quality, combined with state of the art test equipment allowing them to solve their measurement problems. In wireless technology, that translates to reliably measuring very complex signal forms, at very high accuracy and our new Boonton 59318 Power Sensor delivers."
