Antenova Ltd. announced the addition of the Mixtus dual-band 2.4- and 5-GHz surface-mount antenna to its lineup of compact wireless antennas. Suitable for consumer Wi-Fi applications, the antenna operates over the full 2.4-to-2.5-GHz and 4.9-to-5.9-GHz bands and designed for use in all Wi-Fi applications, including 802.11n.

According to Greg McCray, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Antenova, "Wi-Fi-enabled consumer electronics are projected to reach 329 million units by 2012 and 802.11n products are expected to outpace existing technologies to become the default Wi-Fi technology of choice by equipment vendors." The Mixtus A10194 antenna measures just 10 x 10 x 0.9 mm.
