Summary

Amazon’s Sidewalk is a secure, low-bandwidth network that uses Bluetooth LE for short-distance communication, frequency-shift keying (FSK) for medium-range communication, and chirp spread spectrum (CSS) for longer distances. Through it, a myriad of Sidewalk-enabled device types like access control, trackers, motion sensors, and remote leak detectors can be connected to the cloud. This webinar provides an intro to Amazon Sidewalk, what it means to designers of consumer electronics, and some of the basics of developing Amazon Sidewalk functionality.

Topics to be addressed include:

  • What is Amazon Sidewalk?
  • What are the benefits to consumers when devices like security cameras, motion sensors, and the like are Sidewalk-enabled?
  • What does the network’s architecture and infrastructure look like?
  • What are some of the steps or stages in the development process?
