The Agilent 1736 module is a dual-purpose SAN tester and 8-Gb/s Fibre Channel protocol analyzer that combines high-speed network analysis with sophisticated protocol analysis. Well suited for data-storage applications, the module allows operators to test all supported Fibre Channel line rates. The module is scalable to 64 ports and is backwards-compatible with the company's three previous generations of modules (1, 2, and 4 Gb/s). The multiprotocol System Protocol Test platform supports other technologies, including PCI Express generation 1.0 and PCI Express generation 2.0 (PCI-E).
