Geotest-Marvin Test Systems has announced their GP1665W series of programmable waveform synthesizers as drop-in replacements for the obsolete Wavetek 178 waveform synthesizers. The new waveform generator covers a range of 1 uHz to 50 MHz with full amplitude- and phase-modulation capabilities. It delivers as much as 20 V peak to peak into a 50-ohm load with better than 1 percent accuracy and less than -60 dBc spurious levels. The source performs logarithmic and linear sweeps, and boasts a wide range of triggering capabilities. For more information, visit the firm's website at www.geotestinc.com.
