LiDAR is used in applications such as advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and to help robots coexist with people. But it can expand to other apps, especially as solid-state LiDAR improves the resolution and capabilities by the data it provides.

I talked with Ouster's CEO Mark Frichtl about the company's latest REV7 LiDAR family and Cyngn’s Director of Marketing about the use of Ouster’s LiDAR in Cyngn’s DriveMod Kit. For example, the kit can be attached to the popular Columbia Stockchaser industrial robot. We also took a look at Ouster’s DF Series LiDAR for automotive detection and the Ouster Gemini, a cloud-backed digital perception platform for crowd analytics and security.
