The Latest in Communications Hardware

Sept. 19, 2020
Here are some of the highlights in communications hardware so far in 2020.

Advances in communications hardware are generally fast-paced and innovative, driven largely by new protocols and standards that roll out every few years. Many countries are working to implement 5G and faster Wi-Fi 6, while companies and manufacturers are pushing out devices capable of handling the faster speeds. There’s also talk of 6G, which is purported to offer speeds of up to 95 GHz, but probably won’t become viable till the 2030s. That said, more companies are focusing on currently available technology to handle everything from RF to 4G LTE and more. In this roundup, we will take a look at the latest hardware to hit the market for 2020.
