Sensor Heads Handle Long-Range Detection

A line of sensor heads support signal detection at 35 GHz and other frequencies.

Model SRU series sensor heads are designed for long-range distance detection. The sensors are available in four configurations: single-channel, dual-channel sensor, single-antenna, and dual-antenna models. The single-channel units are designed for speed and distance sensing only, while dual-channel models can sense speed, distance, and direction. The single-antenna versions are constructed with a high-performance horn antenna or lens corrected antenna; a linear-to-circular polarizer and transmit/receive (T/R) diplexer; a single-side-band frequency upconverter or modulator; a balanced mixer or in-phase/quadrature (IQ) mixer; and an amplifier and a high-performance Gunn oscillator. For the dual-antenna models, the additional antenna is used and no diplexer is needed. Standard models operate at 35 GHz, although other frequencies are available upon request.
