Curtiss-Wright Corp. has agreed to acquire Teletronics Technology Corp. (TTC) for $233 million in cash. TTC is a leading developer and manufacturer of data acquisition and flight instrumentation systems for defense and aerospace applications. The company will operate within Curtiss-Wright's Defense segment.

“The acquisition of TTC will yield significant opportunities for growth by increasing the breadth of our data acquisition product portfolio while simultaneously providing greater penetration into our existing markets,” says David C. Adams, chairman and CEO of Curtiss-Wright. “The combination of Curtiss-Wright’s existing capabilities and TTC’s proven track record will allow us to offer our customers best-of-breed platform test equipment through a globally integrated sales channel supporting new platform development, existing platform modifications and upgrades, and facility-specific capital test equipment needs at major testing sites.”

TTC was founded in 1998 and has developed extensive capabilities in data acquisition through advanced telemetry systems. These are systems that integrate data analysis units, sensors, transmitters, receivers, and ground station analysis tools to measure, record, transmit, and analyze aircraft and munitions parameters during test flights. The company has been involved in many major programs and has contributed to testing on high-performance military aircraft, including the F-35 and F-18 aircraft.
