Switch Spans 10 To 40 GHz

Feb. 21, 2013
This broadband SP4T switch offers excellent electrical performance from 10 to 40 GHz.

PMI’s model P4T-10G40G-60-T-GPO is a single-pole, four-throw (SP4T) absorptive, solid-state switch designed to control signals from 10 to 40 GHz. It suffers maximum insertion loss of 6 dB and provides as much as 60 dB isolation across the frequency range. Insertion loss is typically flat within ±1 dB across the frequency range. The SP4T switch exhibits better than 2.0:1 VSWR into a 50-Ω impedance and can handle continuous-wave (CW) input power levels to 200 mW (+23 dBm). It is controlled by means of 2-b decoded TTL logic and draws 75-mA current from a +5-VDC supply and 45 mA at -5 VDC. The switch, which achieves switching speed of typically 30 ns, is supplied with GPO connectors in a housing measuring 1.25 x 1.25 x 0.5 in. The compact switch, which meets the applicable environmental requirements of MIL-STD-202F, is designed to meet full specifications at operating temperatures from -55 to +85°C.
