A new trio of high-directivity couplers from Marki Microwave is well suited for communications and measurement applications. Model CBR16-0003 operates from 200 kHz to 3 GHz with 30-dB typical directivity from 200 kHz to 10 MHz and 40-dB typical directivity from 10 MHz to 3 GHz. The direct-line insertion loss is typically 2 dB across the full frequency range with 16-dB typical coupling and 1.10:1 typical VSWR. Model CBR16-0006 provides similar performance from 200 kHz to 6 GHz, with 30-dB typical directivity from 200 kHz to 10 MHz and 40-dB typical directivity from 10 MHz to 6 GHz. Insertion loss for the direct path is 2.5 dB or less, with 16-dB typical directivity and 1.15:1 typical VSWR.

The highest-frequency coupler, model CBR16-0012, ranges from 200 kHz to 12 GHz with 25-dB typical directivity from 200 kHz to 20 MHz and 35-dB typical directivity from 20 MHz to 12 GHz. The direct-path insertion loss is 3.5 dB or less with 12-dB or better typical coupling and 1.25:1 typical VSWR. All three couplers measure 1.70 x 0.690 x 0.700 in. and weigh 30 g with SMA female connectors in three places.
