Booz Allen Hamilton Selected by Army to Fortify Troops

Jan. 4, 2018
The U.S. Army has selected Booz Allen Hamilton as the prime contractor of an IDIQ contract with ceiling of $37.4 billion.

Modern battlefields pose newer and often unknown challenges, and for that reason, the U.S. Army has built its Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3) Program Office. The office seeks to ensure a soldier’s readiness on the battlefield by delivering best-in-class program management and procurement services. In support of the program office, the U.S. Army has selected Booz Allen Hamilton as the prime contractor (along with additional contractors) under a cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-incentive-fee, and cost contract. The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract carries a total ceiling value worth $37.4 billion.

Under the contract, Booz Allen Hamilton will provide services which include command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions. Those applications will be fulfilled through a combination of services, including engineering, R&D, test and evaluation, logistics, and education and training services.

“We are honored to continue our role in support of the U.S. Army as its leaders bring innovative technologies and C4ISR solutions to aid our soldiers.” Said Bob Schuler, a senior vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton and leader of the firm’s C4ISR business for the Army. “Our team has deep experience supporting the U.S. Army over the past seven decades, uniquely combining our heritage of consulting expertise with technology to help prepare warfighters for the modern battlefield.” The Army is Booz Allen Hamilton’s second longest client of record, with more than 64 years of support.
