Armored Vehicle Aids Law Enforcement Pros

Feb. 23, 2017
An armored rescue vehicle (ARV) serves the needs of law enforcement agencies dealing with terrorist activities.
Law enforcement agencies now have a fully armored rescue vehicle (ARV) available to stand up to modern hazards: the BATT-APX. Designed and built in Detroit by The Armored Group, the ARV features 0.50-caliber armor protection. The ballistic armored tactical transport vehicle has a modular design and can be built on a variety of chassis for flexibility and reduced maintenance costs. It includes a flip-forward or removable front clip for easy access to the engine compartment, as well as various features useful for law enforcement (like turret protection and thermal cameras).

The BATT-APX platform can be modified as needed for other applications, including border patrol and Medevac use. “The Ballistic Armored Tactical Transport was designed to be one of the safest armored rescue vehicles on the market to provide the utmost in protection for our law enforcement agencies,” noted Robert Pazderka, founder and president of The Armored Group, of the BATT-APX. “All of our armored vehicles are manufactured with the end user in mind and keeping our military, law enforcement personnel, first responders, and government officials safe and secure. We want to make sure that the people putting their lives on the line for us every day get to go home alive and see their family.”
