Long Island Symposium Covers Trends in Microwaves

Following the event's triumphant relaunch last year, the Long Island RF/Microwave Symposium & Exhibits return.

On Thursday, April 6th, the Long Island RF/Microwave Symposium & Exhibits will be held at the Radisson Hotel in Hauppauge, N.Y. Following up on last year’s symposium—the first one held on Long Island since the 1980s—this year’s event is intended for engineers, managers, students, and technical professionals in the area. The theme is “Trends in Microwaves: 2017.”

Like last year, the event will once again feature a number of exhibitors along with several technical presentations. A networking session is also included, as well as complimentary lunch and dinner. The exhibitors include companies like AmpliTech, Analog Devices, ANSYS, Copper Mountain Technologies, Electro Rent, GeoSync Microwave, Keysight Technologies, Passive Plus, Tektronix, and many others.

A lineup of technical lectures is scheduled for the symposium. Charles Campbell will begin with “Gallium Nitride Power MMICs, Fact & Fiction.” Next, Naoki Shinohara will present “Wireless Power Transfer via Radiowaves.” Rounding out the schedule are “Analyzing MMIC Device Specifications for Solid State Power Amplifier Applications” by Howard Hausman and “Everything You Can Do With Vector Nonlinear Microwave Measurements” by Patrick Roblin.

The event, which is free for all attendees, is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The first 200 registered attendees will receive a complimentary swag bag.
