A new line of attenuators is designed in a rugged SMA housing for easy in-line connection and operation in test equipment, RF laboratory use, and other embedded applications. Dubbed the CATTEN models, these attenuators range from 1 to 20 dB signal attenuation. The 50-Ohm units span DC to 3 GHz. They provide 1 W of power dissipation (0.5 W for the 15- and 20-dB models). Tolerance matching is used to provide superior temperature tracking to individual components. The attenuator's operating temperature range is -40 to +85 degrees C. P&A: stock; approximately $18 each.
