The model SSPA 0.869-0.0960-56 power amplifier from Aethercomm is based on gallium nitride (GaN) device technology to provide 50 W output power from 869 to 960 MHz. It can be used for CW or pulsed operation with as much as 50 percent power-added efficiency. The amplifier, which employs high-speed DC switching circuitry, features reverse polarity protection as well as under-voltage and over-voltage protection. It measures just 2 x 5 x 1 in. and is suitable for commercial and military communications platforms as well as in electronic warfare (EW) systems.
