The M55310/30-B series of crystal clock oscillators (XOs), available from 450 kHz to 100 MHz, has been qualified by Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) per MIL-PRF-55310. The M55310/30 XOs are suited for high-reliability and demanding environment communication devices found in avionics, space, military, and maritime applications. They offer typical frequency stability below 5 ppm at +23C and below 30 ppm over the operating temperature range of -55 to +125C. The oscillators have a typical aging rate of less than 1 ppm/yr. These XOs operate on a supply voltage of +3.3 V DC with current draw of 8 mA for the lower-frequency versions and 30 mA for the higher-frequency versions. The oscillators deliver a CMOS square-wave output with a load of 15 pF 5 percent and 10 kOhms 5 percent. The devices are designed and manufactured in the United States. Standard environmental performance for hermeticity is per MIL-PRF-55310 (max. leakage rate 5 x 10-8 atm cm3/s) while vibration-mechanical is per MIL-STD-202 (method 204D, cond. D). They provide terminal strength per MIL-STD-202 (method 211, cond. A) and ambient pressure per MIL-STD-202 (method 105, cond. C). The oscillators come in a hermetically sealed SMD package measuring 0.560 in. long x 0.360 in. wide x 0.188 in. tall max. Delivery for the M55310/30 at select frequencies is from 8 to 12 weeks.
