MIMO Antennas Tackle Urban 5G Deployments

Oct. 22, 2019
Developed by HUBER+SUHNER, these antennas operate at frequencies up to 2690 and 4200 MHz for 4G and 5G.

The intent behind HUBER+SUHNER’s SENCITY 100 and 200 family of massive-input, massive-output (MIMO) antennas is to provide cost-effective 4G and 5G communication links in urban areas. The antennas come in a small form factor that will integrate seamlessly onto poles, walls, and other outdoor street architectures. The 100 series family is available for frequencies from 2500 to 2690 MHz and 3410 to 4200 MHz. The 200 series is available for frequencies 1695 to 2690 MHz and 3410 to 4200 MHz. Both offer passive-intermodulation (PIM) performance of −150 dBc. Furthermore, the 100 series is available in an omnidirectional version that has 2 to 3 dBi of gain and a directional version that has 6 dBi of gain. The 200 series comes in versions with 6 to 7.5 dBi of gain.
